1. 선수과목

  - Community college 수준에서 이수한 선수과목을 인정합니다. 이 경우, 선발 과정에서 유리하기 위해서는 

    상위 과정을 수강하여 선수 과목 항목을 보완하는 것을 권장합니다.

  - 인터뷰 지원자 선정에 있어서 학업 과정, 성적, MCAT, 임상 및 연구 활동, 추천서, 자기 소개서 등 다양한 영역을

    고려하여 검토하므로 지원 시 입시 요강을 참고 바랍니다.

  - AP 또는 국제 학사는 Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Calculus/Statistics, Humanities/Social Behavioral Science 영역에

    공식 성적 증명서에 표기된 경우에만 선수과목으로 인정됩니다.

의과대학은 Community College 수준에서 수료한 전제조건을 받아들입니다. 선발 과정에서 경쟁력을 갖추기 위해

Community College의 전제조건을 갖춘 예비 지원자가 소속 4년제 기관에서 관련 과목의 수강하여 이러한 과정을

보완할 수 있도록 유도합니다. 홉킨스에서 면접을 볼 지원자를 선정하기 위해 전체적인 검토 과정이 사용되며 이 검토에서는

많은 요소를 고려합니다. 이러한 요소에서 지원자의 연구 과정, 성적, MCAT 점수, 임상 및 연구, 추천서, 개인 진술 및 지원자의

의학 이해 등이 포함됩니다. 또한 지원자들이 의대에 지원하여 의사가 되고자 하는 욕망이 갖게 된 경로를 고려합니다.

학생의 학부대학에 입학할 수 있는 AP(Advanced Placement)와 국제학사학위 학점은 생물학, 화학, 물리학, 미적분학/통계학 그리고

인문사회, 행동과학의 최대 2분의 1을 충족시키는데 사용될 수 있습니다. AP와 IB크레딧은 공식 성적표에 기록되어야 합니다.

The School of MEdicie accepts prerequisites completed at the community college level. In order to be competitive inthe selection process, we encourage prospective applicants with community college prerequisites to supplement these courses by taking davanced courses in related subjects at their four year institution. A holistic review process is used to select applicants to interview at Hopkins and many factors are considered in this review. These factors include the rigor of the applicant's course of studies, gardes, MACT scores, clinical and reserch exposure, letters of recommendation, personal statement and the applicant's understanding of medicine. In addition, we consider the path the applicants have taken which led to their desire to apply to medical school and become a physician.

Advenced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate credits acceptable to the student's undergraduate college may be used to satisfy the prerequisites in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Calculus/Statistics and up to one-half of the Humanities/Social, Behabioral Sciences. AP and IB credits must be documented on an official transcript. Please not the additional requirements for Biology and Chemistry listed below.

2. MCAT

  - 지원서 제출한 해의 9월 이전에 MCAT을 응시해야 합니다.

The Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) is required for acceptance. The MCAT must be taken no later than September in the year the application is submitted. The oldest MCAT considered will be four years prior to date of expected matriculation.

For students entering in Fall 2022, the oldest acceptable MCAT is 2018.

Note for graduates of foreign institutions: Successful passage of the TOEFL examination is additionally required for all students whose undergraduate instruction was conducted primarily in a language other than English.

3. 추천서

  - 추천서는 Committee letter, Letter packet, 개별 Letter 중 선택하여 낼 수 있습니다.

  - Committee letter : 지원자의 대학에 공식 지정된 Committee 또는 Adivisor 가 있는 경우 제출합니다.

  - 공식 Committee 또는 Advisor가 없는 경우, 추천서는 총 3부 제출해야 합니다. 추천서 2부는 지원자가

    수강한 과학 계열 교수에게 받아야 하며, 추천서 1부는 과학 계열이 아닌 교수에게 받아야 합니다.

  - 그 외에 1년 이상의 상위 학위나 근무 경험이 있는 지원자인 경우, 교육 및 주요 담당 업무 경험과

    관련된 추천서를 받아 제출해야 합니다.

Committee letter (required if your college/university has an officially designated committee or advisor).

Authored by a pre-health committee or advisor and intended to represent your institution's evaluation

of you. A committee letter may or may not include additional letters written in support of your application; - OR -

Letter packet : A packet or set of letters assembled and distributed by your institution,

often by the institution's career center. - OR -

Two (2) letters from faculty members in science departments who taught you are required

if the college/university you have attended does not have a Committee/Advisor AND one

(1) letter from a non-science faculty member who has taught you.

In addition to the letters, applicants with advanced degrees or significant postgraduate

work experience of one year or more, are required to send recommendations from each

component of their education and major work experience.
