1. 선수과목

 - 선수 과목을 인정받기 위해서는 C 이상의 학점을 받아야 합니다.

 - C-이하, Pass/Fail 또는 Credit/No Credit 과목은 선수과목 이수로 인정되지 않습니다.

 - Community/Junior College에서는 60학기를 초과할 수 없습니다.

 - 온라인 코스 과정은 사전 승인을 받은 경우 인정됩니다.

 - AP 코스인 경우, 선수과목으로 인정될 수 있으나 과목별로 검토가 필요합니다.

 - 선수과목 이수 학점은 학기제의 경우 90학기, 쿼터제의 경우 135 쿼터제를 이수해야 합니다.

   하지만, 대부분의 지원자들이 학사 학위를 이수하였기 때문에 학사 학위를 취득한 다음

   지원하는 것을 권장합니다.

The following courses (semester hours or equivalent quarter hours) are required to apply to the School

of Dental Medicine. All coursework must be completed with a grade of C or better from an accredited

U.S college or university at the conclusion of the spring term of the year accepted. Grades of C- or

lower and courses taken pass/fail or credit/no credit will not be accepted.

No more than 60 semester hours are allowed from a community / junior college. Online coursework is

accepted with pre-approval. High school advanced placement(AP) courses can be accepted for prerequisite

course work, and will be evaluated on a case by case basis. Official documentation will be required

to include AP scores. If you are an international student, please contact the admissions office directly.

The minimum requirement for admission is 90 semester hours (or approximately 135 quarters hours)

of academic coursework, but completing a bachelor’s degree is strongly encouraged. Most applicants

will have completed at least a bachelor’s degree before matriculation to dental school.

2. DAT

 - DAT 점수는 지원하는 해의 10월 15일까지 제출해야 합니다.

 - DAT 점수 제출 마감기한을 맞추기 위해서는 지원하는 해의 8월 31일 전에 DAT 시험을

   응시해야 합니다.

Applicants are required to complete the Dental Admission Test(DAT), which is administered

by the American Dental Association(ADA). Official DAT scores must be sent to AADSAS.

The DAT should either be taken before application or in June/July of the application year.

Scores must be received before the application deadline of October 15th.

In order to meet this deadline, tests should not be taken after August 31st of the application year.

3. 쉐도잉

 - 최소 50시간 이상의 쉐도잉 활동이 필요합니다.

50 hours of dental shadowing is required and must be completed at the time of application submission.

Applicant without this minimum number or hours will not be reviewed or considered for interview.

4. 대외 활동

 - 참여했던 다양한 대외 활동 (학술, 운동, 동아리, 기관, 연구, 봉사활동, 인터십 등)에 대해 작성하는

   란으로 활동 기간과 빈도수, 담당 핵심 역할, 기관 정보 등을 기입하여 제출해야 합니다.

Applicants should report any extracurricular activities in which they are involved, dental-related or

otherwise, on the AADSAS application. Such activities could include (but are not limited to) academic

enrichment programs, athletics, clubs and organization, research, volunteering, and work experience.

For each extracurricular, applicants must provide the frequency and duration of the experience,

a description of the key responsibilities, and the name and address of organization of supervisor.

5. 추천서

 - 추천서는 3부 제출해야 합니다. (최대 추천서 4부를 제출할 수 있지만, 선택사항임)

 - 추천서 2부는 수강한 강의 중 하단 과목의 교수에게 받아야 하며 추천서에 수강 강의명과 번호를

   기입해야 합니다. Basic Science : Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Biochemistry, Microbiology

 - 다른 추천서 1부는 치과의사, 교수 (전공 무관), 고용주, 멘토 등에게 추천서를 받아 제출하면 됩니다.

 The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine requires a total of three letters of recommendation, although

ADDAS allows up to four. Letters must be uploaded directly to the application by the evaluators. Letters sent directly

to the Office of Admission are not accepted. Of the four allotted AADAS uploads, application must have:

Two Science letters – Two letters must be written by science professors who have taught and graded the

applicant at the university level. Letters should be from basic science instructors (biology, chemistry, physics,

biochemistry, microbiology). Science letters should include the course name and number.

One letter of choice – One letter by an evaluator of the applicant’s choice is also required.

This evaluator could be a dentist, another professor (science or non-science), an employer, a mentor, or another

individual who can write in support of the applicant.
