1. 선수과목

  - 선수과목은 총 72점으로 입학 전 반드시 이수를 완료해야 합니다.

  - 모든 필수과목은 온라인 강의로도 수강 인정되지만, 과학 과목의 경우에는 대면 강의로 수강하는 것을 권장합니다.

  - 선수 과목은 C- 이상의 학점을 받아야 합니다.

  - 코로나 19 기간 동안은 P,CR, SD과정을 이수하여 선수과목 요건을 충족할 수 있습니다.

You are ready to begin applying to the UW‒Madison School of Pharmacy after you have made plans to complete

your 72 credits of prerequisite college-level courses at any accredited institution. Prerequisites do not need to be completed

at the time of application but must be completed before you begin the PharmD program in the fall.

Summer coursework is accepted. All prerequisite courses can be taken online, however, we recommend that science coursework be taken in an in-person format, if available. All prerequisite courses must be completed with a grade of C- or better. 

In addition, courses taken for P (Pass), CR (Credit), or SD (Satisfactory-Disruption) during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic through the Spring of 2021 semester may be used to satisfy prerequisite requirements.

2. PCAT

  - PCAT는 필수 요건이 아닌 선택 사항입니다.

  - 하지만 다음 요건에 해당하는 지원자는 PCAT에 응시하여 제출할 것을 권장합니다.

• GPA가 낮은 경우
• 과학 선수 과목 학점이 낮은 경우
• 과학 선수 과목 수강 이력이 오래 된 경우

  - PCAT결과는 PharmCAS(코드 번호 104)로 보내야 합니다.

The PCAT is an optional admission requirement. If you believe the PCAT provides evidence of your academic preparedness

for UW-Madison’s PharmD program, you are encouraged to take the PCAT and submit your scores to PharmCAS.

For example, this could apply to students who have a lower GPA, lower grades in science prerequisites,

or students who completed science prerequisite coursework several years ago.

If you’d PCAT scores should be sent to PharmCAS (code number 104).

3. GPA

  - 평균 GPA : 3.51 / GPA : 2.8~4.0 / PCAT : 79% / 학사학위취득 :49%

  - 지원자의 누적 GPA에는 반복 과정을 포함한 모든 고등 교육 과정이 포함됩니다.

    모든 과정(예비 약학 과정과 관련 없는 과정 포함)에서 받은 성적을 함께 평균 내 누적 GPA를 결정합니다.

    입학 위원회 또한 수학 및 과학 과정의 GPA와 매 학년도의 GPA를 고려할 것입니다.

4. 추천서

  - 추천서는 총 3부로 PharmCAS에 제출해야 합니다.

  - 추천서 3부는 다음 하단과 같이 구성해야 합니다.

• 교수, 강사, 조교 등과 같은 강사로부터 받아야 합니다.
• 외적으로 활동했던 고용주, 자원봉사자 감독자로부터 받아야 합니다.
• 정치인, 친구, 가족, 동료 등 지원자를 잘 아는 사람에게 받아야 합니다.

Three letters of recommendation (referred to as evaluations in PharmCAS) must be submitted to PharmCAS

before an application will be considered complete.

Applicants must specify their references on the PharmCAS application and all letters must be submitted via the PharmCAS portal.

You are required to submit three (3) letters on PharmCAS forms:

1) One of the three letters must be from a college-level instructor (professor, lecturer, teaching assistant). Letter from a science instructor preferred.

2) One of the three letters must be from a non-classroom setting (work/volunteer supervisor)

3) The third letter can be from anyone except a politician, friend, family member, or coworker of equal standing. 

    The third letter may come from one of the two requirements above.

5. TOEFL

  - 모국어가 영어가 아니며 미국에서 대학생으로 지난 2년간 최소 60 학점을 이수하지 않은 경우,

    TOEFL 점수를 PharmCAS에 제출해야 합니다.

  - 입학 고려 대상이 되기 위해서는 TOEFL 점수는 최소 100점 이상을 받아야 합니다.

The TOEFL, if your native language is not English and you have not completed at least 60 semester credits

(within the past 24 months) as a full-time college student in the United States.

The TOEFL is still recommended for permanent U.S. residents and international students whose native language is not English, regardless of academic coursework. To submit your TOEFL score:

TOEFL scores should be sent to PharmCAS. The TOEFL institutional code for PharmCAS is 8246.

TOEFL scores are valid within two years of the testing date so you must request that scores be sent to PharmCAS

before two years have passed from your test date.

To be considered for admission, international students or permanent residents

whose native language is not English must earn scores of at least 100 on the internet-based TOEFL (IBT).

6. 대외활동

  - 약사와 인터뷰 실시

  - 약국에서 전문 기술자로 일해본 경험

  - 자원 봉사를 해본 경험

  - 실험실에서 작업을 해본 경우

  - 환자 또는 거주자의 건강을 관리하는 병원, 요양시설, 기타 장소에서 봉사해본 경우

  - 해당 학교의 약학 또는 건강 동아리 활동을 해본 경우
